Guardian Homes Program

Welcome to Tennessee Bernedoodles' Guardian Homes Program! Our program is designed to provide our breeding dogs with loving, permanent homes while they contribute to our breeding efforts. This partnership ensures the well-being of our dogs and offers families the opportunity to own a high-quality Bernedoodle.

What is a Guardian Home?

A Guardian Home is a family that co-owns one of our breeding dogs, providing them with a nurturing and stable environment. Tennessee Bernedoodles retains breeding rights, and the dog lives with you as a cherished pet.

Requirements for Guardian Families

To be part of our Guardian Homes Program, families must meet the following criteria:

• Location: Reside within 100 miles of Knoxville, TN for females & 30 miles for males.

• Environment: Offer a safe, loving, and stable home.

• Commitment: Follow our guidelines for grooming, food, training, and veterinary visits.

• Communication: Stay in regular contact and be available for breeding needs.

Benefits to Guardian Families

• Investment: You do not have to pay any $ toward the purchase of your bernedoodle.

Responsibilities of Guardian Families

• Training: Participate in an AKC Good Citizen Course and/or a board and train program

• Veterinary Care: Attend scheduled veterinary visits, provide monthly heartworm preventative and adhere to health protocols we provide.

• Breeding: Cooperate with our breeding schedule and bring the dog to us for breeding purposes.

• Grooming: We require that you maintain your bernedoodle's coat until full grown adult pictures can be taken, This means regular brushing and they may not be shaved.
